FreeGB
Free up space on your phone and in your Google account. FreeGB finds duplicate, similar and blurry photos, big videos and old forwards, makes smaller copies of what you keep, and helps you clean up Gmail storage. Everything is processed on your phone, and nothing is removed until you confirm.
What it does
See where your space went, and get it back safely
Duplicates and look-alikes
Finds the same photo saved in Camera, WhatsApp, Telegram and Downloads, and similar shots taken seconds apart. It suggests the best one to keep, and you can compare side by side.
Blurry photos and big videos
Spots shaky and out-of-focus photos and lists your largest videos, so the biggest wins are easy to find.
Compress what you keep
Makes smaller copies of photos and videos with the same date, so your gallery order doesn't change. The copy is saved and checked before you're asked about the original.
Old forwards and screenshots
Clears out old WhatsApp and Telegram forwards and screenshots you no longer need.
Nightly check, morning report
Looks for new clutter at night, then sends a short morning report. It only looks; it never removes anything by itself.
You confirm every removal
You see how many files, how big they are and what will happen to them. Most go to your phone's Trash, where you can restore them for 30 days. "Keep forever" hides anything you never want suggested again.
Optional · Gmail cleaner
Free up Google storage used by Gmail
Gmail, Google Photos and Google Drive share your Google account's storage. FreeGB's optional Gmail cleaner shows what is filling Gmail and helps you clear it, right from your phone.
How it works
- It's off until you tap Connect Gmail and allow access on Google's own permission screen.
- It groups big attachments, Promotions, Social, old updates and mailing lists, with how much space each uses.
- You review the emails. Nothing is pre-selected, and big attachments are picked one by one.
- Only the emails you select, after you confirm, are moved to Gmail's Trash, where Gmail keeps them for 30 days.
- Unsubscribe from a mailing list, after you confirm.
- Disconnect at any time. FreeGB then removes its access at Google.
What FreeGB reads, and what it never does
- It reads email metadata only: sender, subject, date, size, labels and the mailing list's unsubscribe header.
- It never reads the text of your emails or opens attachments.
- It never sends or writes email, and never permanently deletes it.
- Starred emails are always left out, and bulk actions skip emails Gmail marks Important.
- Email from people is tagged Personal and is never grouped for bulk cleaning.
