Delete your Society Matrix account

1. Send a deletion request

Email us from the email address used for Google Sign-In. If you signed in using phone OTP, include the full mobile number (with country code) used for the account. Do not send an OTP, password, identity document or payment information.

Send requests to geddam.naidu@gmail.com with the subject “Society Matrix account deletion request”.

2. What happens next

1. We acknowledge the request and may ask you to confirm control of the sign-in email or phone number.
2. We check whether you hold an association role that must be handed over, or whether open financial, support or operational items require attention.
3. After verification, we revoke sign-in access and remove or de-identify personal profile and membership data that is not required to preserve association records.
4. We aim to complete a valid request within 30 days and will explain any lawful exception or necessary delay.

3. Data normally deleted or de-identified

• the Firebase authentication account and active authentication access;
• personal profile information that is not part of a required association record;
• current association memberships, roles and device/session access;
• optional profile images and personal documents where deletion is permitted and they are not required for an unresolved or legally retained record.

4. Data that may be retained

Deleting an account is not the same as erasing an association’s books and official history. We or the association may retain:

• maintenance bills, approved payments, receipts, expenses and accounting records;
• meeting, vote, approval, notice and audit records needed for integrity and accountability;
• records connected to an active dispute, fraud/security investigation or legal obligation;
• limited records showing that a deletion request was completed.

Where practical, retained records are de-identified or reduced so they no longer identify the deleted account beyond what the association or law reasonably requires. Temporary backup copies disappear through normal backup expiry and are not restored to active use.

5. Association and home data

A personal account-deletion request does not automatically delete an association, its homes, financial records or other members’ information. Association closure is a separate administrator-controlled workflow with its own safeguards.
